Bhootha Kaala is based on the lives of two brothers and a sister who find themselves amidst unbelievable situations. What is the mystery behind these unrealistic events? Will the siblings be able to get out of this tricky situation?

The story revolves around two culturally differentiated families and a couple who tries to overcome these issues. Viraaj lives with his grandfather, who is a large-hearted man and is always there in the service of the poor. Things take a turn when Viraaj falls in love with an NRI Nandini and both decide to get married. However, due to internal family conflicts, the marriage comes to a standstill. What follows is the difficulties the couple faces in getting married to each other.

Sathyaraj, a petty thief, witnesses unexpected things happening to him. Later he realizes that his look alike was a brave police officer. Sathyaraj, taking advantage of that, goes back to the village and finishes the good deed that Madakari had commenced and puts an end to Babjee`s tyranny.

A rich landlord and his servant bond well irrespective of their status. When the landlord wife is murdered, the servant decides to take the blame on himself to save landlord family prestige.
