The case becomes a struggle not only for his freedom but also for the truth. While Samar maintains that he has been falsely accused, the circumstances surrounding his relationship with Gayatri remain complicated, leaving the people around him to question what really happened between them. As the proceedings move forward, Samar's fight against the charges becomes increasingly intertwined with his fight to preserve his identity and dignity. Once concerned primarily with rebuilding his acting career, he is now fighting for something far more fundamental: his freedom and the chance to reclaim his life. A tale of two different musicians, dramatically different but united in their passion for music, set against the backdrop of the international music industry. If the music industry is considered ruthless, manipulative, and cutthroat, these terms certainly do not apply to A.J., the most popular singer/composer New York has ever seen. However, if prodigious talent, passion, and attitude are considered synonymous with the music industry, then Reggi fits the bill. Young and hugely talented, he craves A.J.'s spot at the top. Into these lives enter two women: aspiring singer Ruhi and ambitious P.R. professional Sheena. Ruhi has much professional respect for A.J., but she has been wooed and won over by Reggi. Sheena, on the other hand, holds a grudge against Reggi because, while she did a lot for him as a PR, he had rejected her in a personal relationship. As A.J. and Reggi face off against each in a do-or-die battle, envy and betrayal rear their ugly heads, and talent struggles to survive the onslaught of a carefully-orchestrated smear campaign. —Q. Leo Rahman The movie revolves around two men with a similar passion: music. AJ (Bobby Deol) plays a ruthless guy with a manipulative frame of mind; he has gotten where he is through sheer dint of hard slog. He's used to winning; he revels in it and will never let anybody overtake him. Reggi (Upen Patel) is a talented up-and-coming singer who is struggling hard to get noticed. Young and hugely talented, he hungers for what AJ has, he craves to be where AJ is. Ruhi (Kangana Ranaut) is an aspiring singer who looks up to AJ but has fallen head-over-heels for Reggi. Sheena (Celina Jaitley) is a gorgeous, ambitious PR professional who goes all out to promote Reggi. There is a lot of drama in this part of the flick as the story involves a lot of emotions all mixed into one musical drama: Shakalaka Boom Boom. Eventually, music emerges as the sole winner in the film. —hEmRaJ (gavin_coolhgr@hotmail.com)

In 1971 during the Indo-Pak war and the formation of Bangladesh, Vikramjeet has a ship in his command and was carrying a regiment of soldiers of the Indian Army, commandeered by his dad, Major General Amarjeet. In order to accomplish this, he always makes up excuses of not going to the front. Kunal also cheats to win races or other competitions with his colleagues and has no qualms about it. Kunal still wants to marry Shweta & even her family advises her to do so as Kunal is from a good family. Shweta reluctantly accepts, just as Kunal leaves for Kargil. In Kargil, Kunal is ordered to fight with his company to regain occupation of an important hill. The company attacks but leads to heavy losses. Kunal sees a lot of his friends being gunned down by enemy fire as he remains hidden. He is the last man standing & carries the flag to the summit. He is awarded the Sena medal, but Kunal cannot live down the shame that he acted like a coward & several of his dead comrades were more deserving of the medal. He tells the truth to Amarjeet who is deeply disappointed at this selfish behavior of Kunal. Meanwhile, Major Rajeev Singh (Akshay Kumar), who is assumed to be dead but actually is a prisoner of war. He was captured by Pakistani Col Ashfaque Khan (Danny Denzongpa), who tortures Rajeev endlessly to get crucial information on the Kargil war. Rajeev returns back alive after he challenges Ashfaque to hand-to-hand combat & beats him & then escapes from captivity with his fellow prisoners, with the help from a Pakistani army sympathizer. Upon return, Rajeev takes Shweta home & finds out about Kunal's feelings for Shweta, through a letter that he had written to her in the past. By chance, Kunal is assigned to protect the Amarnath shrine route, under Major Rajeev Singh. In order to achieve a medal, Kunal fakes heroism, then carelessly jeopardizes a planned attack on terrorists and as a result several terrorist escape to their hideouts. Disciplined and chastised, an injured and humbled Kunaljeet awaits to meet his sweetheart - only to find out that she is in love and married to his senior Officer Major Rajeev Singh. The only thread binding Kunal to the army is broken when he finds that Shweta is with Rajeev now. Kunal is heartbroken & confines himself to the field hospital & refuses to take part in combat at the front lines. On the front Amarjeet is working with Rajeev to secure the religious pilgrimage route. It is then Kunaljeet finds out that the terrorists in collusion with rebel Pakistani officers are planning to bomb the Bhagwan Shivji's Amarnath Temple in Jammu & Kashmir in order to ferment communal strife. Due to the breakdown in communication, he is unable to get the message to Rajeev, so Kunal sets off himself to warn Rajeev & Amarjeet. Kunal finds that the terrorists are using a particular horse to get RDX inside the shrine & blow it up. Amarjeet & Rajeev, also figure this out but too late. Kunal reaches just in time to apprehend the RDX from the horse & throws it away from the crowd, where is explodes harmlessly. Kunal is about to die but is saved by his grandfather & all of them fight together to defeat the terrorists. Kunal goes with Dr Sakshi, as he has no other choice.
